Historical/Legendary Background

The name of the barangay was derived from the word "dungaw," a Bicol term meaning to look out of the window. It was later then called, Dunao by the people.


The barangay has a total land area of 29.57 ha. It is bounded on the North by Barangay Guilid; on the South by Barangay Bonga; on the East by Barangay Bagumbayan and on the West by Barangay Sta. Cruz.


The people celebrate their annual barrio fiesta every last Sunday of November in honor of Christ the King.

Demography. As of 2007 census, its population have reached a total of 799.

Economics. People engage into business as source of livelihood. Farming is also one of the major sources of income of the residents, with rice as the main crop produced.
