City Government Holds Traditional Gift-Giving

In line with the celebration of Three Kings, the City Government of Ligao, through the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO), spearheaded its Traditional Gift-Giving activity last January 8, 2012 at the City Gymnasium.

With the venue being transformed like a carnival site, 2, 784 Day Care children from Poblacion, Coastal, Mayon, and Upland Unit, 80 FACES (Family-Based Actions for Children and their Environs in the Slum) beneficiaries from Barangays Tuburan and Pinit, and 30 enrollees of Child-Minding Center were able to experience a festival-like celebration. Each was given a pack of grocery goods and gifts. For a complete carnival-like experience, various ice cream carts were stationed around the gym for the children to enjoy.

Moreover ,a supplementary gift-giving activity was also organized last January 9, 2012 at the Ligao City Jail and Josefina Belmonte Duran Memorial District Hospital.
